TEACHING

I have over 16 years experience of teaching in Higher Education, hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Performance (PGCAP) as well as being a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I place a strong emphasis on a balance between class room delivery, practitioner engagement and real world learning.  I also adopt a research led teaching philosophy translating ongoing and published research into learning outcomes.   I am  a strong advocate of Education for Sustainable Development and the notion of transformative learning.

Professor Joyce Liddle

Professor of Public Leadership and Enterprise at Newcastle Business School

Greg’s teaching is innovative and student focused.  Using his extensive research, engaging with practice and developing innovative assessment criteria – this is how higher education should be delivered

John Watts

Public Management and Business Graduate

Greg allowed me to pursue my own ideas and pushed creativity in the modules he taught me in my time at Plymouth University. Following a brand new curriculum, however teaching it like it was so well practised he made the lectures and learning a great experience.  Sharing the same passion he helped me gain  opportunities and experience in industry straight out of university

Ben Black

Public Management and Business Graduate

Greg is an excellent Lecturer and academic. I learnt a great deal from him at my time at the University of Plymouth. As well as being an excellent lecturer, he was able to provide me with all the guidance and help necessary when I was writing my dissertation, enabling me to gain at 1st in that piece of work.
